People tend to be more motivated to do things when there are more chances then just 'member of the month'. I have sites have new members flourish to be recognized, and so I suggest adding a few more to the roster;

Couple of the Month

Rivals of the Month

Child of the Month

Quote of the Month

Staff of the Month

You could even go so far as to break down the species;

Feline of The Month

Canine of the Month

Equine off the Month

Doing this makes things more exciting for members and they feel more involved with the site I've found. It also helps to recognize more than one person for their accomplishments. I've heard people say that they dont think it's 'fair' to other people to even have OTM's, but I think this is only because the chances of every deserving person getting picked are so slim when there's only 'member of the month' instead of multiple catagories like above. I've also found that people tend to vote more when there are more options aside from MOTM, as it usually spices things up on the site when members know they have a good chance of being recognized for their hard work and creativity.

Yes, "Pair OTM" is supposed to umbrella "Couple", "Enemies", etc.

In addition, since there are so few members on the site, the more categories I make, the less chance someone worthy is getting it, so much as it's just a spot to be filled.

I think that by having fewer categories of OTM, it encourages people to try and strive to be awarded each month, and it makes it more special to be awarded. :)
