Paxx let out a huff of steam through her breath. She shut her eyes and began to recollect herself. Letting herself surface like that was something she did not usually like to do. The powerful spirits that raced through her veins did more then just speak to her. There was deep magic that lived in her, and sometimes letting it out was out of her control. The gentle cat lowered her bristled fur and her body position became relaxed again. She breathed in and out, for her temper and magic got the best of her once again. "Fiaza. I apologize, but it had to be said." Her voice was soft once more. This feline had a more relaxed tone yet again. Her out burst only proved her power. having what she did deep inside her was only a tempting force; something that if not taken care of could easily corrupt this usually gentle feline. It was true, Paxx felt bad for the other feline, she did not care for her outbursts, but they had to be done. This balance of power that Paxx held inside was something that even for the oracle it was difficult to control. Paxx was not sure if she wanted to look back at the cheetah. There was always that little bit of regret she felt whenever she gave the rules to others; but it had to be done. "Do not cross me, dear. I hate to have to speak in such a violent manner. I'm sure a feline such as yourself would not dare." Paxx looked back at her, her purple eyes were relaxed and gentle once again. No teeth and fangs were in sight this time, and the cat seemed once again a peaceful and gentle kitty. She turned away from her yet again, only to look down at the ground with her eyes. The sands told her stories, what other creatures trampled this dusty landscape before her that are long gone? She watched the sand with gentle ease, wondering if she had frightened the cat. It was then that she saw what she needed to see against the horizon, an elk. It must have wondered away from the wetlands and found itself scavenging for food at the edge of the dead lands. Paxx smirked. This would be the perfect opportunity to let out her anger, and get something to eat, for both herself and the cheetah. "I shall get you something to eat, kit. Be honored, this cat rarely hunts for any...even herself."

Fiaza stayed standing, unsure if it was proper of her to sit. Her stomach growled, angry that it was not being cared for. Paxx spoke and the cheetah listened intently but said nothing. She knew that if she were she would over step her bounds. The cat was walking on eggshells and did not wish to break them. Fiaza felt as she was as a kit when she was around Oracles, frightened and questioning of herself. It was not easy for her to say nothing but she was scared senseless. Anger started to float towards the surface of her emotions. How could she let herself trust an Oracle, she had grownup with them. They were all the same, nice on the outside and twisted on the inside. Fiaza's feelings deflated when Paxx spoke again.
"I understand, I am new and must know the rules." Fiaza tried to sound understanding but her voice just fell towards a scared tone. The amber eyes of the cheetah watched the purple ones of the snow cat. An elk was spotted and her stomach roared to life once more.
"Thank you, Paxx. Your gift will be repaid many times once I am stronger." In Fiaza's mind, Paxx has given her so much. She had let her motions fog up the vision of what Paxx had done for her. She was ashamed of herself. Never again would she think that way of this Oracle. She was different no matter her outbursts.

The thrill of the chase. This was something that this snowy leopard had been rusty on for years. This cat was not the kind to brutally maul and kill an animal simply for food. Paxx was not the kind to use her strength over her magic or wits. There was a high power that stood with Paxx, and she knew that taking down this elk would be easy; with aid. Paxx would never take it upon herself to do it herself; for she could not, this was true. Paxx's stature and figure was slim, fragile, and gentle, and could not be used in combat often. This cat knew her place, the oracle, the communicator. Life was not always easy for the Oracle, with such powers of magic there came gives and takes. Many of her magics she obtained by either giving parts of her soul (or others souls') strange rituals that are only spoken in tongues, or sacrifices. In lack of a better word; this cat had 'been around the block'. Paxx was no stranger to what she needed to do in this kind of situation. She scanned the horizon that the elk stood on, targeting it with arrow like eyes. Her target would not escape her, or her spirits. The spirits walked with her, ran with her, hunted with her. In this rare occasion that this cat would hunt, she was often always aided. The elk would stand no chance against this witty and magic filled cat. The felines eyes began to glow. At one point the glow would seem unhealthy; either too bright, or too dark. The eyes of the oracle were fixed, and did not only captivate its view for Paxx, but for her spirits as well. As Paxx closed in on her target, she made no effort to hide herself, for her magics and tongues would easily shield her. The cat would become invisible to the naked eye, her deep and rich spots and stripes blending with the background for a brief moment as her magic rattled through her bones. the elk was oblivious. Speaking in tongue was not strange to paxx, it was part of her every day routine, and as she approached, a slip of the tongue somehow managed to effect the elk. Before the cat could touch the elk, it began to topple over and shrivel on the ground, as if a violent earthquake shook inside it. Paxx was in control here, and she was in an element and state of mind she found: enjoyable. Then came the part that Paxx did not like, the part that no matter what she had to get her paws dirty. With a hiss and a smirk the oracle through her fangs into the skull of the prey item. Similar to jaguars, this feline struck her victims with a powerful blow to the head, instead of the neck. The elk screamed out in howls and moans of pain, until they slowly stopped. It had been ages since this snow leopard had done direct killing for food; she was rather good at it, and maybe should start doing it more often.

Fiaza was so glad that Paxx had gotten over her outburst and moved on. The cheetah was also glad that the Oracle was kind enough to snatch up the outsider food. She needed it know more than ever. The feline regretted fully thinking anything less of the spirited one than one of high respect. Paxx had only had an outburst because she didn't know her and she was asking for too much. Fiaza knew she would give back 200% to the leopard. She pretty much owed the snow cat her life.
Fiaza's amber eyes watched Paxx. Her hunting skills were impeccable, far more than those of herself. Fiaza could hunt with ease but in comparison to the Oracle, the cheetah had the ability of a kit. The thought embarrassed the cheetah, she was the fastest of all cats but was nothing in comparison to that feline. Paxx had did have the spirits on her side, but she deserved it. Her grace was unmatched. Strategy was amazing. She seemed to take down the large deer with no help from a soul. Or maybe a couple of souls?
It didn't matter how the elk died, Fiaza was just glad that she had some food for her ever growling stomach. She wasn't sure if she should go eat or to wait for the first meal to be towards Paxx. The cheetah knew it was proper that the Oracle eat first. The spotted cat sauntered over to the dead animal. She laid down on the dusty floor, Paxx deserved the whole elk. Fiaza was not one to judge how much the leopard ate so she simply lie down on the ground and waited.
"You should eat first, great Paxx. You took down the entire elk with little to no help. It must have taken a great amount of strength." Fiaza was hungry but no amount of hunger would guide her in the direction of the path of the unproper. The soon to be messenger waited for the spirited one's response. She waited to see if she would eat first or if by some small chance, the stranger would be allowed beside her or even before her.

It was an easy kill, atleast it seemed that way. Paxx did not see herself as a killer, or as a huntress as well. This cat was a docile and gentle cat -usually- that did not often lift even a paw to get what she wanted. Hunting was a different world for her; something she did not ever even think of doing by herself. Without her spirits this cat would be nothing when it came to living her daily life. paxx's life was so based around her spirits she could not even think about what it would be like without them. It was a ghostly thought. Paxx was a killer at heart however, this cat was born to kill. Even though many snow leopards were born to become oracles and dark magic users, their bodies and anatomy were desired to kill. A snow leopards hind legs were extremely powerful, and their claws all having joints that moved with their kill. Their bodies were built for harsh environments, and could take on the toughest of beasts. Paxx did not admit that was a hunter, for without her spirits she would lunge at the elk without a thought on what to do. It was really all of 'friends' work that got her through. "I am not hungry.I got this elk for you, not myself.I suggest eating it before it gets cold." Paxx sat herself down, as if getting ready for dinner at the family dinner table. She was hungry, yes, but did not often eat in front of anyone. This cat was so used to eating alone, it frightened her to death about eating with other cats. She preferred a dark room, where she could eat in silence. paxx's body relaxed, her spirits swarmed around her, gently calming the air, and tormenting the elk's lost soul. There was little room for forgiveness after more than a thousand years of bitterness between equines and felines. Paxx watched Fiaza with dark purple eyes, pondering about her. Was it worth it to kill this creature for her? Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't, no matter what she wouldn't know for sure. This didn't seem to bug her however, every now and then she could use a little 'action'.

The Oracle's response was a quick one. One that Fiaza never thought she would ever hear from an Oracle but then again Paxx was different. "Greatest Paxx, I promise I will repay you and the kingdom twice over for the kindness you have shown me." The cheetah bowed and quickly started to eat. The warm flesh of the newly killed elk was soft against her teeth. She would never be able to repay Paxx for the deed she had given her. The cheetah's stomach stopped growling once she had started to eat. Fiaza didn't know what parts Paxx might want for later so she left a bit of everything, organs, muscle, and skin. She wanted to make sure that the Oracle, who had shown her much kindness, would be full from the great elk as well. Slowly, the spotted cat's eating came to a hault. With some blood on her muzzle, the feline sat up and looked at the snow leopard. Her purple eye's were watching Fiaza eat but it didn't bother though.
"Show me the white paint you were speaking of and the direction I must be going. I will leave as soon as you wish." The cheetah was thankful to be given a job even if she had no clue what to do. This was new to this land and was unsure about their customs. Fiaza wanted travel to go smoothly so she could return. Her messenger job was on the line here and wanted to be back for it.

The white cat watched as the cheetah began to eat the elk. Every bite that the other cat took make Paxx's mouth water, yes, she was hungry but she could not pull herself to eat in front of another cat. It was difficult for Paxx to do this, even in front of her master, Loki. She would usually be brought food, and even still she would hide it and eat later when no one was around. It was a sense of pride in Paxx, the oracle was a high being, almost high enough that she did not need to consume any meat. If this cat was able to survive without food, she would do it in a heart beat. While the cheetah made itself a meal, Paxx could not help but think of things, things of strange nature. What would she find when she heard back from her old master. Was it possible that the old leopard was still alive? If so, what kind of words would he have to say? Would she impress him? It was a long time ago when she last saw him, and she was so young she could barely remember it. Her entire childhood was spent with that leopard, studying the ways of the spiritual world, and practicing her voodoo and magic. There in that temple her anger and outbursts were controlled and her quiet side became dominate. Many oracles let there powers get the best of them, but not Paxx, her training enabled her to control it, and keep herself calm. Paxx felt as if she was another breed of oracle, and she was proud of that. "The white paint is easy to make, kit. It comes from the white flowers that grow in this land. They can be difficult to find, but not if you know where your looking." Paxx's ears began to twitch as she spoke. Yes, she knew where the flowers were, as well did the spirits. Her eyes fell upon the elk once more, she would have Loki get her one later on.

Fiaza nodded understanding what the leopard said. She wondered where to find the flowers and how the could possibly grow there. The soil was too loose and dry to grow nice flowers. The white flowers must have been soft and weak if they were to grow here. Her paws tested the earth for themselves and they agreed, to weak of soil. "If you show me the direction of these flowers, I will bring them back to you, Great Oracle." Fiaza was dedicated to not loosing this place. Her life was devoted to being a messenger and if she didn't get it here, the cheetah was only destined to move on. She was not going to sit around and this opportunity was not going to pop up again. The cheetah was pledged to hunt and snag this place. In a world where your role is your life, she tried to make hers to be the highest and since Oracle and Queen were not open to the fine species of Cheetah, it was only fate for her to be a messenger. Fiaza returned her thoughts to the Oracle, unsure weather or not the strange cat liked her. Weather or not Paxx liked her, she liked Paxx. The snow cat had something about her. She knew the places of everyone and the spirits as well. The white leopard had the style and grace of the grandest of cats. She was kind and generous too. Now if only Fiaza could tell if that cat returned the feelings.

Paxx's expression was blank and very docile toward this feline, as usual. She couldn't help but feel the breeze attempt to tell her something. The large snow white cat lifted her nose to the trees and sniffed the air, it smelt normal to her, but there was something in it she didn't understand. There was a sense in the air, a strong sense of power that seemed to be shifting in the balance of nature. Could this be a sign? She was not sure, she would need to study it later on with more time on her side. She sensed the air with a shiver down her spine and a twitch to her ears, she looked back at the cheetah and then down at the carcass in front of them. Perhaps this shift in power was just the kill, its powers being given to those who killed it, and its energy now flowing through the cheetahs veins. The power and life the elk was held inside it was now fiaza's and that was something beyond Paxx's control. The matters of life and death were always an interest to Paxx, and they circled around her like flies do idiot equines. The idea of being able to control the out come of birth and the matter of death was something she wished to dip her paws into, and perhaps with Loki, the idea of birth was around the corner. Her master, Loki, had an interesting relationship with a young jaguar, who went by the name of Renn, and Paxx had already predicted its becoming, and whatever Paxx could do to ensure a male heir, she would do. Whatever witch craft she needed to do, Paxx would do; a science she was ever so interesting in playing with. Her mind was playing tricks on her, and the need to focus was becoming less and less needed, her instincts would take over when the need came about. She wished to run off to the distance and just take a look at everything around; to feel her surroundings. Paxx took in a deep breath however, she was with company. "The flowers, yes, will be difficult to find if you have not found them before.." Paxx gave a light hearted smirk, she knew where the flowers were, and to her it would be a walk in the park to find them.

Fiaza was full, happy, and ready to fill any role Paxx threw at her but a part of her mind wandered. What was happening back at home? Did anyone miss her like she missed them? Did anyone still think of her? Do they all think she was a traitor for leaving? What rumors did the chief spread to cover up the lies? Did everyone believe them? How was her mother? Was she outcasted for having an outcast as a child? Was her father alright? Was he forced to stop work from his daughters problems? How were her friends? Did they get along well enough knowing that they had a horrible friend? The questions were never ending like every other set of questions the feline thought up. It was a weakness for the cheetah, she sometimes over analysed things without realizing.
"Would you like me to find these white flowers? Or did you have a different plan in mind?" Fiaza was ready for task, no matter the strain it may put on the cheetah. Being unemployed was hard for her. Work had been her life for atleast a year and then there was nothing for weeks, maybe months. The travel was work in itself but still, nothing like pleasing someone.
Nothing pleased the cheetah more than pleasing someone of a higher rank than her, it made her feel better than the rest of the community. Fiaza strived to be better than as much of the feline kingdom as possible. The feeling of a whole community under her made her feel powerful, in control, and loved. An emotion she got very little of as a child. Her parents were gone with missions from the ruler or really anyone else.
Slowly her mind returned to the calm Oracle. At that moment, Fiaza strived for no other thing but approval from the snow leopard because she knew if that happened, approval from a more important leopard would emerge. The role of a messenger was her life and no way no how was that going to be taken from her.

"No, No, kit. It is a very difficult flower to find to those who are un trained, it will take many years before a great messenger can find the flowers themselves. As much of an easy task it sounds like, it may not be, for these flowers hide. Yes, its true, these flowers do not wish to be picked, so they hide, and as that reason, they will appear to not be in the same spot as the last, so it is your job to know this. There are allot of things that go into finding them, just so you can travel with ease, and you will need to learn these if you wish to be a great messenger for our kingdom. " Paxx said with a small huff, the large snow leopard was growing tired. Paxx did not often venture too far from the castle and even when she did her stamina was not the best, and after hunting down an elk, she was deserving of a rest. with the muzzle and the paws of her body still lightly showered with the blood of the elk she kept herself down and began to clean herself, she needed her coat to always be smooth and clean. "To find these flowers, we need to head in the same direction in which the sun rises in the morning." She gave the instructions to the cheetah, it would be best if Paxx showed her the way, rather then just telling her. There would be no telling what the cheetah would get herself into without Paxx's guidelines. It was a difficult find, and she knew it.

What a strange thing in this kingdom, moving flowers. Fiaza had never heard such a thing. How was that even possible? It didn't matter though, she would do every little thing in her power to become the next messenger. By anything she meant anything. Black mail was something she was used to. Assassins actually were very handy at extreme times. The only thing that was going too far was killing someone herself. The cheetah would not allow blood to be spilled on her own paws, so to speak.
"What time must we leave, Oracle Paxx? My new role is to serve this kingdom as best as I can." Fiaza bowed, hoping the great one would think of her as some what pure. Even if her thoughts about getting to the top were not parallel. So what? The cheetah mentally needed the support of being top messenger. Nothing stands in the way of a whole life of running for a living.

Paxx took her eyes back to the skies, it began to turn violet and crimson above her head. The feline kingdom always had beautiful sunsets, and they always fascinated her. There was something about sunsets that Paxx just adored. When she was younger she would sit outside the temples and watch the sunsets with her former teacher, they served as a lesson to her, lessons that now she had long forgotten.
"It's growing late, cheetah, perhaps you would wish to find these another day, maybe tomorrow...Unless you want to go searching blindly in the dark?"/color]Paxx twitched her ears? Being a feline, her night vision was excellent, and it would be easy for her to hunt and search for things in the night, but she wasn't sure for the cheetah. Perhaps she was tired and wanted to sleep before they set off looking for the flowers? Paxx didn't mind whatever, she was welcoming to her new 'friend' and would be glad to help her out. A messenger was a personal gain for Paxx, someone to deliver messages so she did not have to. Before the Cheetah came into play Paxx found herself delivering messages to others from Loki, which she didn't find very appealing. But now with this cheetah, life would become so much easier, and she could return to her solitude as much as she wanted to. "I know you must be tired young one, and if you wish to find someone to rest, I completely understand, it must have been a long journey from your former kingdom in which you say you came from. Please, just tell me what you wish.." Paxx's voice was calm and gentle, as if speaking to a young kit, keeping her words smaller then normal and simply wanting the best for them. Paxx gave a gentle smile to wards the cheetah, and it wasn't a fake one either.

"I do as you wish, Oracle. But if we were to use my opinion, I would have to say to wait because my sight is not as strong as my other senses in the dark even though I am a feline." Fiaza bowed hoping the Oracle would not be mad at her. Her voice hinted love but Fiaza could never be for sure. Her past experience with spirited ones was not one for either to be proud. None of the Oracles in her last kingdom had liked her very much and used the cat, young at the time, to their advantage. Sending her on wild goose chases every day. These missions were not important but were quite to opposite. The Oracles would say things like "In the deepest part of the wood lies a grand flower that only comes out at five in the afternoon, go fetch it for me and don't come back until you do!" And of course, being young at the time, she traveled into the woods to fetch the flower and after days of wandering would find that the Oracles had lied to her.
Fiaza shook her head, Paxx surely wasn't like that. Paxx liked her. Paxx cared for her. Paxx had hunted for her. Paxx had a job for her. Paxx wasn't mean to her. But there was some part in the cheetah's mind that said no. It said the opposite of all these statements. That part of her brain always said what Fiaza wanted to hear the least. That no one liked her or deeply cared for her. The spotted cat's head sunk slightly thinking of that part of her mind.
Quickly, seeing her fault, Fiaza picked her head up high and smiled. Although it was a fake smile that was plastered across the young one's muzzle she just couldn't help it. The thoughts were so strong but no one should see such a thing. A hurt child was what Fiaza had looked similar to.
"Oracle? If I may be so bold as to say but where should I stay?" Fiaza hated being blunt and honest with her questions but she didn't want to lie to the Oracle.

Paxx gave a slight nod of understanding. She knew that it would be best if both of them rested. She did not like to let her guard down around other felines, but if she had to, then she would. The cat looked around the dead lands as the sky began to change into the darkness of night. She sniffed the air to see if the scent of any others were around; no. The cat brought her eyes back down to rest upon the cheetah. Her poker face expression was calm and collected. It would be best to stay away from the kill sight, she thought to herself. Other predators would quickly come to take their kill, and even take on the two felines. Even if Paxx was the oracle, nothing would get in the way of a hungry cat, or other creature.
Paxx looked around and finally decided to speak. "It would be best to move back to the castle grounds, however, that would take much needed time for rest. I am positive that there are many locations around and about that can act as shelter. I personally, will not sleep; it is a half moon, the spirits require my attention tonight..." Paxx said with her teeth bridged slightly open. She looked to the sky and once more to the ground; her paws were standing on soil that told many stories. Stories that Paxx was dying to hear, even if that meant no sleep.
"Get some rest, you are going to need it tomorrow, once you have found your flowers you are ready for your journey, and you shall be proclaimed messenger." Paxx gave an approving nod to the head and then moved herself about the dead lands ground. She wondered aimlessly for a few moments, looking around at all the sights that were around her. It was not a frightening place where there was no one around; she thought to herself.
