It was silent. Silent all around, silent, with the exception of the periodic chirps of bugs, cricket, and other small insects. the terrain was different, different than what the young ocelot was used to. Ground below his feet was sterdy, stronger, and did not give way as much as the swampy lands of his home used to be. The air was not as damp, and the surroundings, he felt to be different. there was something weird about this place, where had he wandered into? The world was new, it was almost blissful. The new sights, sounds, and feel was an adventure. There seemed to be so much that he could do, so much that he could explore and find, and yet, something didnt feel right.
Something inside of him told him that he wasnt where he should be, and that there was no room for ignorance, or joy. His eyes wandered through the brush, trying to find some kind of familar sight that he could point out, but he was completely lost; and yet he was content. It seemed that nothing could ruin his little adventure. Not yet atleast.
The young ocelot kept walking, his paws digging thin trails into the dirt below his paws. There were plant life he had never seen before, which constantly stopped him so he could examine and smell every last bit of land. For the first time in his life, he felt; free.
