Paxx was almost taken back from the comment made by the snake that slithered in front of her.Kits. That little word was so strange to her, something so close but yet so foreign. She was not the kind of cat that had the time to think about kittens; let alone herself. nearly all of Paxx's time was taken up by her work; which she devoted her life to.
Paxx would not be the kind of cat to mate; most likely not for the rest of her life. she would not be the cat to pass on her genes; she would not have kits. At least, not at the moment. The small simple need and desire for kits that most females had was something that was rather dormant inside this cat. She was always involved in something else, and had no spare time to dwell on personal 'projects' such as having kittens.
Besides, there was no possible mates for her anyway. Her job was her mate, and she was a loyal mate. She would not leave her position to have a family of kittens; oh no. There was so much more ahead of her that she had to do before she grew old. It was true, this cat was not a young feline anymore; she was already 7 years old; and she was not getting any younger. Perhaps the time for kittens had long past her; and if it did; she wouldnt be too hard broken about it.
That single word was now floating about her skull; a desire that was quickly hidden away by her common sense.
"Kittens? No, Veraj. I do not have time for ear bitting children. They take far too much time and you never know how they will turn out. My time is taken up by my work; I do not have any time for kittens." The words almost stunned her; it felt as if she was denying herself the very thing she was granted when she was born into the world. The idea of not having children was something that had mixed feelings with her. It was always a guessing game with Paxx.
She looked at the snake with her big eyes, they changed to a more intimidating look. Her eyes were now playful, a side rarely seen by this snow leopard. She decided to turn the tables on the snake.
"What about youVeraj? Do you want little serpents slithering about?"
