"Ocelots do not bare the strength and power that jaguars do that is looked upon with admiration dear child. Cheetahs are the same. Spots are something that our society as come to respect and adore, but, who the spots are on is also a large part of it..." The oracle looked at the cub; she could not think of a simple way to explain it to the cub.
"Child. It is the way that it has been for thousands of years, and it is not our place to go against tradition. Our way of life is set in stone before we are born; and it is best to not defy it. Cheetahs are well respected as messengers, their speed is great, much greater then ours. There are aspects that each species posses that put them above the other. It is best to not ask questions, child." The cat looked around, she wondered what kind of creatures of the night were stalking the halls; this made her question where she was, and the idea of moving the cub to a safer location.
"Come, kit." Paxx got to her paws, and began to stalk her way through the halls. Paxx gave the kit a gentle push to get the kit back on her feet and moving once more. The large feline walked the halls, keeping an eye out for other felines. What would they think of her if they spotted the oracle with a young kit? It was a snow leopard, would they think it was hers? Obviously if that happened, it would be death for the large cat, social death; that is. This cat had no time for a young kit to call her own; she had to keep to her duties; which could call to her at any moment.
The cat found her way through the halls, it did not seem as if it was a long journey down the hall before they reached their destination. it was a quiet room, cold; but dry. The room was peace-full, and filled to the brim with soft pillows, blankets, and tribal art along the walls. The walls were long and the ceiling was high. There was a huge window that hung in the center of the left wall. This window lead to show the wetlands, beyond the wetlands there were the dead lands, the window seemed to show half of the entire kingdom.
The room was decorated with thousands of beads and gems, some that were worth value in wealth; and others that represented her voodoo and black magic. There was an omen that was present in the room; as if a thousand eyes were upon them; watching every move.
