Zara
She had learned the castle days ago, and now she walked it's halls as if she herself had been born there. Her snowy white coat was flawless in it's coloration, and the light cast off it in this dark corridor seamed to light it in a pale glow. Decades of prestigious breeding was what had created her, and this elegant and powerful she-wolf was a regal specimen. Her strength and beauty was terrifying, and her unshaken determination was something to be wary of. Today, though hers were the only steps that echoed in the empty halls, she was not alone, and she was certain that the others who roamed the grounds could smell the stench of Feline. Linkk, the ocelot cub that she'd found on the borders, was still grasped firmly in her jaws, being carried by the scruff. Normally the brutal Queen would have disposed of such a pest the moment she'd crossed it, but she could see this naive slave-cat being of great use to the canines in the future. Yes, she had little doubts in her ability to manipulate and contort, and soon the young cats mind would be hers. Strides were thick with purpose, and soon she had found herself where she wanted to be. Her personal Chambers. It was her own place in the West Wing of the castle, a single massive room thats far coner was littered with pillows, silks, and blankets. Up against one wall was a full lengtht body mirror that she often admired herself in. Making her way to the laying area she placed the kit on a silk draped pillow before shaking herself, as if it would rid her of the smell of cat. Striding over to the mirror she promptly sat down before it where she than began grooming her shoulder."What it your name child?" her voice was sharp and demanding, and her silvery blue eyes sought out the cubs reflection in the mirror as she began to groom her chest.

The cat was not a stranger to being carried as such. This cat was still a young kit, and often found comfort in being carried by the scruff. This time however, this was strange. In the jaws of a canine the cat hung. The sharp fangs which would be used to rip and tear apart his fear and innards were used as almost a sense of protection. The feeling of being carried by a mother was very powerful in the kit, something he did not feel in ages from his real mother. This kitten seemed relaxed, as he had to be, or else his neck would be split open. This cat hung in the air, watching his surroundings like a rag doll. It was moments like these that the young kit was not proud of his ocelot heritage. Perhaps if he was a jaguar, or a leopard he would be treated...better. This cat wanted nothing but respect and out of his rank, which he saw as impossible. Linkk could feel the stares as he was carried by the canine; perhaps if he played dead, no one would try to rip him to shreds. The danger of being in the canine grounds were real; and this kit was too young to die just yet. The odor of canine was everywhere, and he could sense his smell of feline was well pronounced and noticed by all. Perhaps being in the jaws of a queen canine would be some sort of protection. The cat played dead as he hung from the jaws of what could be life or death. Their castle was large; much different then the castle of the felines. Linkk had never seen the castle of the felines, but had heard stories of its greatness. Its structure was different and how a canine moved about it with little confusion; made the ocelot puzzled. As the cat was brought into the chamber, he felt a sense of comfort; he was out of the vulture like eyes of the other canines. The others gave him glares and smirks of death. Being in the mouth of danger this cat knew well better then to attempt to escape. This cat would stand out like a sore thumb, it was best that he stayed with his kidnapper. as the cat rested on the soft pillow, he looked at it in a odd way; it was soft, it was not dirt, nor mud. It was something he had never felt before. It was comforting, and he found himself warm inside the castle. He looked at the wolf; watching his words carefully. "Linkk. My name is Linkk." Linkk found himself with a stutter, not because he was cold, but because of his fear. Did this canine bring him back to its denn so it could feed him to its young? Or did she prefer her canine cooked? For whatever reason the kit was here, he did not like it one bit.

((OOC...Thank you very much. I wasn't sure where you wanted me to come in on the posting rotation but figured I would post here .... if this is not alright I will happily delete it. Thanks again))
It had been an unusually eventful few days for the coyote, Midori, and now she needed a place to sleep it all off. She had no real place to sleep on a regular basis, preferring instead to just go on a wing and a prayer as it were, and it was no different now. She had a bit more 'gusto' then most of her packmates, well if you didn't count the royals who had no rules to adhere to, and was often found breaking the rules to fit her purpose. So today she had decided to bribe one of the guards at the main entrance with a fine fresh kill with promises (more like lies) of future pay offs. He was an old timer, one who wasn't out to prove himself or what not, and was only slightly hesitant in breaking his vows. In the past she hadn't ventured past the window sill she liked to sit on in order to spy inside so she took her time as she made her way through the elegant home. Her senses were keen as she padded through, hiding in the shadows when anyone approached, as she continued looking for a place that seemed rarely used.
Midori had found such a room when suddenly a familiar scent wafted past her nose. "How could he get in here? I have to find him before there's really some trouble." Linkk, the ocelot that Midori had recently befriended must be somewhere in the castle as there was a distinct measure of his scent floating through the air. Keeping to the shadows the coyote made her way along the passageways as she tried to formulate an escape plan in her head. After some travel time her 'prey' was spotted but it seemed all was too late. Of all the canines to have found him it was the Queen who now held him. Taking a deep breath Midori followed the duo, hoping the shadows were enough to conceal her as she waited for the perfect time to get both of them out of there while probably signing her death wish in the process.

Zara
Linkk. It was an odd name, but not the strangest she had heard by far. A moment of silence passed between them as Zara continued to groom her flawless coat, pausing from time to time to glance at herself in the mirror. Zara had always been fond of her own image- but who wasn't? Her vanity was justified in the sense that she was as close to perfection as they came- and one wouldn't dare say otherwise. That is, unless, they had a deathwish. Almost abruptly she turned away from the mirror, now satisfied with how her coat looked. "Well, these will be your new chambers. You are not to wander without an escort if you value your life- none of the canines here would think twice about snapping your throat." Yes, it was clear now that he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon, and she doubted he'd be stupid enough to try. "You may call me Master Zara- nothing else. Do not speak to anyone else unless spoken to, and remember to remain submissive to anyone you happen across- especually the King." Her word were not to be taken lightly, for it was obvious she was doing her best to keep him alive. "He doesn't know I've brought you here yet, and I doubt he'll be happy about it once he learns of your presence here." a devious smirk took her lips then as she padded over to him, sinking down into the plush blankets a stride or so away from him. With the amount of soft things strewn across the floor the whole pack could have crawled in to sleep- if she had wanted it. "I will deal with Zion though." and she would. The male would be a fool to not see the oppurtunity here- to have a spy within the Felines Kingdom would be an advantage reserved just for the canines. " So- you've grown tired of the Feline Kingdom have you?" she asked, silvery blue eyes falling on the much smaller animal lounging on the silk pillow by her feet. Then a scent came to her.
Standing at once the fur along her spine bristled and muscle tensed beneath her pelt. The scent of an unknown canine was was lingering in her doorway. She was not surprised entirely that she had been followed- the curiosity of some were probably peaked, but who had been so bold, so foolish, as to follow her into her personal room. Fanged bared themselves in a brief moment, allowing whomever lingered int he shadows to get a glimpse of just what they would be dealing with if they crossed her."Who has dared to stalk their Queen like some ignorant prey animal?" she barked sharply, silvery eyes narrowing. "Come forward now or meet my fangs."

Linkk listened intently to the canine, not wanting to be silenced forever. He simply nodded in submission to what the canine had to say. However, the cat was not entirely there; for he was also wandering inside his thoughts. How could this cat been so foolish as to stray onto canine grounds. It was a surprise that the young ocelot was not dead yet, and he was grateful for it. Linkk was worried for his future however, for for all he knew the large canine could be lying to him; and kill him in his sleep; simple as that. The idea of running away did not seem like a far off choice; however with so many mutts around; there would be no hope for this small creature to get away without injury or worse. The cat thought to himself about his past; which he was not sure if he was proud of or not. The cat was born into a decided fate; a slave. This cat was at the lowest of the food chain in feline society; his only use would be to serve his master. His life would consist of early wake up calls; 12 or more hours of hard labor, and a cold floor to sleep on. That was not the life he wanted to live. He wished that he could just be another feline, a Jaguar, or at least a leopard; just something other than himself. He hated himself sometimes, and just wanted to do something greater. The young cat was not listening, but had enough attention to realize that canine was directing a question towards him. His attention suddenly snapped back to reality, back to his new master. "No, Master Zara...I ran away from -home-. There was a revolt, and in the chaos I ran away. I don't want to be a slave..." He shook his head, perhaps the canine would have symphony on the poor creature. Suddenly, as Master Zara's ears and attention turned to the door way, so did Linkk's normally, he would not shift his attention to an unknown smell, he would run from it, or hide behind the soft pillows. The scene was familiar, and reminded him of a certain canine that he felt as if he remembered from his past. His ears perked up and his small tail began to move back and forth. His tail came back from its hiding spot between his legs, and moved from side to side in excitement. It was Midori, the kind 'yote that he had met wandering the wetlands near his home. This canine he knew was a friend, which gave him some decent hope for his future. The cat jumped to his small padded feet and his eyes light up with joy; he was not alone after all.

Here lies Midori She wasn't too bright Didn't believe in the Light And now she's really gonna be sorry That was going to be what her tombstone read after this little fiasco, she just knew it. The Queen's flash of her fangs was definetly not necessary to remind Midori just what kind of situation she was in. Momentarily she pondered how fast the wolf was compared to her supposedly loyal messenger. If she could just reach an open window then a leap from there might bring her to safety. But she had already stepped in it, a problem as large as a moose and twice as deadly to a single coyote. Any thought of running was squashed like a overly annoying cockroach when Midori caught sight of Linkk. He seemed in fine shape, was that a silk cushion the little fuzzball was sitting on while she sat cowering in the corner almost wetting herself, perhaps he didn't really need her help. Then again she was here anyways, in for a pinch in for a pound as the saying goes. "Deer droppings and squirrel whiskers." She cursed profanely under her breath before stepping forward out of the shadows. She gave a small bow of her head, lowering until it reached about the height of her elbows, and kept her tail tucked tight to her legs but didn't cower. If she was about to get taken out of this life then she wanted to do so with her dignity intact. But there was still answers to be given. Should she lie she wondered. No that would never do. Shoot from the hip and hope for the best. "My name is Midori, your highness, and I'm a messenger of the kingdom. As for why I'm here...." she trailed off before taking a deep breath and continueing. "I had come in to warm myself but then I saw Linkk. You see I had befriended him earlier and....." No sense going any further than that Midori thought.

Zara
The coyote that stepped from the shadows was utterly submissive, something that no doubt would help her in the midst of Zara. What stroked her curiosity however, was the reaction of Linkk. He should have been unnerved by the arrival of a second canine, yet he sat up and looked ahead with sudden enthusiasm. For the moment the white wolf was willing to let this go, and her silvery eyes found their way back to the coyote. "My name is Midori, your highness, and I'm a messenger of the kingdom. As for why I'm here...." Midori. In some languages it translated to 'green' though she wasn't sure if thats what the young female had been named for. As she went on Zara readied herself to hear her excuse, almost certain it would be something along the lines of 'I smelled a cat so...', but boy was she in for a surprise."I had come in to warm myself but then I saw Linkk. You see I had befriended him earlier and....." [/i Eyes widened in sock, and hackles raised instinctively."You befriended him?" she snarled, advancing dangerously quick on the smaller canine. Jaws snapped anxiously close to her cheek as Zara strode a swift, tight circle around her."We are in the midst of a war Midori. Befriending the enemy...How can your King and I trust your allegence knowing that you let one of them go? Did you even report that there was a cat in our midst- what if he'd been a spy?" her voice was little more than a cold snarl, and with a huff she turned awa from the coyote to pace, mind reeling. Were her followers really so incompetant? No matter now, whatever damage had been done would stay done."Never mind. " she sighed roughly before collapsing in a group of pillows."Perhaps you can be of help. I will need to address Zion about this shortly and someone will have to watch over the cub- someone who won't strike him dead right away. I have plans for him, and need him alive."

Linkk watched how the two of the canines reacted. Was this how canines treated each other? It appeared to him that the treatment of other canines was almost as bad as how felines treated other felines. The young kit looked at midori with open eyes, wanting to run to the fluffy 'yote and give it a purr and perhaps a cuddle as well. This cat was no stranger to Midori and smiled at the sight of the canine. Linkk looked back and forth between the two canines, watching the reactions on their faces. He was a young child, watching two adults speak of things he did not understand just yet. There was much in the world that the young ocelot did not understand; but he was fine with that, for he had other things on his mind. The cat made small movement towards Midori, but paused, waiting to see the she wolfs reaction. Was he allowed to greet his friend? Was it wrong that he had wanted to say hello, he had not seen his canine companion in quit some time. The cat looked at the wolf with big eyes, multi colored eyes that held fear, and excitement inside them. "Master Zara, Midori is friend." Linkk did not know what he spoke; for those words could be treason to both sides of the kingdoms. He lowered his ears slightly, wanting to know whether or not he would be able to continue to speak, and see his friend. He looked to Midori with big eyes, welcoming her, and glad the wolf had not harmed her; for he could see how submissive she was. It was then when the felines attention quickly shifted to the lush pillows. He never did realize how fluffy, and colorful they were. The string that dangled from each corner was inviting to him as he quickly pawed at the pillow. The young kitten found its calling, its need to play with some sort of yarn. This kitten purred, and seemed to be completely absent minded with what was happening around him. His attention span was short when the adults did not mind him. He found this pillow his new friend; and if not watched carefully; in a very feline way, he would rip it to shreds.

Midori had known she was asking for trouble when she had admitted to knowing Linkk but she had feared lying would have cost her life. Sharp fangs so close to her fur that she could smell the Queen's breath and could see the blood stained deadly teeth. Perhaps now wasn't the time to mention that Zara had a piece of meat stuck between her front teeth. Midori sighed but thought it best to keep her muzzle shut. What was done was done afterall. In truth she hadn't thought to mention meeting the kit as she had been running away from irritated guards when it had happened. Why had they been irritated? Because the coyote had played one of her usual tricks on them of course. Besides any other time she had requested an audience with the King and Queen she had been sent away like an insignificant rodent. Not that she could expect any different response but it was still annoying and not something she wanted to repeat any time soon. Deciding it best to at least acknowledge she had been spoken to Midori spoke in a level tone.
"I live to serve my queen." Simple and to the point. In truth she really did enjoy serving the pack even if she didn't agree with the theoretical beliefs. Not knowing what was expected of her she just did what she thought best. That was she made her way to where Linkk was playing and gave him a reassuring lick on the head. It seemed harmless enough and she was careful not to step on any of the pillows as her paws were quite dirty and muck covered. Not an easy task as the floor was covered with them. Midori gave Linkk a nudge with her paw in hopes of rescueing the slightly fraying pillow.

:( I'm sorry but..... I dont think we've done anthing wrong- in fact we've gone about it exactly as it would have gone in RL. Zara was about to kill him, but had a better idea instead.
Linkk and Zara met in the outskirts ( the thread is still there) and she personally carried him here, so unless the other canines have a death wish by going after their plotting Queen, Linkk is safe- at least until she talks to Zion. - If he wants Linkk dead then that's wat will likely happen.
She is going to speak to Zion about possibly corrupting him to use as a spy, otherwise yes, he would be dead. You dont have to worry- the wolves aren't trying to ally temselves to the cats or anything ^^ .
my post will be up shortly guys

Zara
Zara wasn't pleased with the careless attitude of he rsubordinate, but her head was to busy to snap at her.I live to serve my queen. Eyes narrowed as if she weren't convinced, but the canines loyalties would truly come out soon enough. Deciding she'd had enough of her Queens scolding, the young coyote padded over to where Linkk was clawing at one of the silk pillows to reprimand him. A low growl of warning escaped the Queens lips as Midori licked the cub. Zara was not pleased nor comfortable with the situation at hand, but unless she wanted to drag the whelp right up to Zion, the coyote was the only help she had. God, where was Demitiri when she needed him? No doubt the little fox would lose his head if he learned that there was a cat not just in the canine Kingdom, but in the very palace itself. She could not help but gin at the thought of her small companion- the keeper of all knowaldge would likely have a heart attack if he could see this cub making himself at home in her pivate quarters. "Midori," she called before turning to look at the pair."I am going to speak to Zion about Linkk. He is in your charge until I return, so you are responsible for all of his actions. Keep him in here and things should be fine- if anyone challenges you to get to him, call for me." Despite the fact that she was Queen, Zara had a deep need to please her followers. Even if she wanted to rule everything, what good was the rank if her people did not prosper beneath her? No, Zara was the type who would always come for those who needed her- if they were worthy of her. Sleek form then padded toward the door, where she added, as an after-thhought, her final words. "If a panicky white fox shows up, tell him he's to stay here and help you look after the cat- on your Queens orders." Then she was gone.
OOC;;I will have her return after my thread with Zion is complete- you two can continue here or wait it's up to you ^^

Linkk stopped with the pillow, he realized how child Like he was being. After all, it was not his pillow. The cat found the smells here strange, it smelled of wet dog and other smells he was not familiar with. The cat made his way to the other pillow before making it his home. He found himself cuddling up on the pillow, wanting midori to sit with him as well. He was a young kit, back with his 'mom' again. He did not pay any attention to what the two were talking of. Most of it went over his head like it would any child. Politics and plans were not in his vocabulary. He stared at the ceiling, and then back to Midori. The cat made a pur like noise, he did not feel as if he was in danger while the 'yote was around. As the canines spoke, he found it his job to stay silent, not wanting to entangle any wrong ideas into their conversation. Who was Zion? What fox? He had plenty of questions to ask Midori when the wolf went on her way. As the wolf made her stride out of the room, Linkk shot back up and looked at Midori, big eyes; filled with questions. "Midori, who is Zion? What is this place? What's going on?" his child like demeanor covered up the fact that he was fearful, and made him appear as if he was filled with glee. Linkk moved himself back toward Midori, and cuddled himself up around one of her paws, using it as a pillow. Midori was the only sense of comfort he had in this strange place; one of his only friends as well. Linkk looked from below at the 'yote, he wished all the canine could be like his canine friend.

Midori watched the Queen leave the room, giving only a small bow to show she had heard anything, but quickly stuck out her tongue once the door was closed. It was one thing to be a free thinking rebel but it was hard to fight the powers in charge with your skin ripped from your body and buzzards plucking at your eye sockets. On a selfish note she felt good to at least be doing something other than causing hate and discontent around the castle and surrounding area. The messenger turned baby sitter enjoyed keeping busy and was known to prove the saying of 'idle hands are the devil's workshop'. Okay so she had paws and not hands but the saying still fit. When she was bored was when she went out of her way to cause problems just so she had something to do. On a less self centered note she was happy to be back with Linkk as he seemed to be the only creature that didn't think of her as some freaked out furball. He was innocence and kindness rolled up in a nice, neat, purring package. Midori nudged the little kit to a soft spot to lay as her back was starting to be sore from all this bowing and such. The canine laid down facing the door so she could see just who may come in and then motioned for Linkk to join her. She didn't mind being used as a pillow as long as he didn't start kneading her body with his claws. Even as small as he was his claws were sharp and she didn't feel like being a fuzzy pin cushion at the moment.
"Welcome to the land of butt sniffing and tail kissing." She said under her breath. It wasn't that she didn't have any loyalties or feel any affection for her homeland, quite the opposite, but she felt as if the entire kingdom had turned it's back on her. Those around her always seemed to be all doom and gloom even when she did her best to cheer them up. In her mind it was all this focus on what was called the "Light" that was screwing them up but she knew better than to utter even one syllabul in disagreement.
"You're in the lands of the canine, little feline warrior, and you are treading where none of your kind has been before. Well that is as far as I know." She said, this time loud enough for Linkk to hear and in a friendly tone. "You have just met our Queen Zara, Zion is the King here, and I have no clue what is going on here although with that pair involved I would say we have some interesting things brewing."
